The following Terms of Service between you and Monate Coffee Distribution describes the terms and conditions on which you may access and use the Monate Coffee website and related services including, but not limited to Monate Coffee product purchases. By accessing or using any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms.


1. About our Product/Service

A. Introduction
Through the Monate Coffee website, we aim to give you access to a proudly South African brand dedicated to producing high quality, speciality African coffee with a purpose. We are committed to sourcing and roasting coffee beans from the finest Arabica-producing regions in Africa including Uganda, Rwanda, and Ethiopia. Our coffee boasts unique and complex flavour profiles, ranging from fruity and sweet to rich and nutty, as well as brightness, clarity, and smooth finishes. Our flavoured coffees provide a unique and aromatic twist on our traditional blends.

As business growth occurs, we aim to include a number of additional services including events/activation participation, tastings and Barista training.

B. Mobile Charges
To the extent you access the Services through a mobile or wireless device, your carrier’s standard charges, data rates and other fees may apply.

C. Modification of the Services or the Terms
Monate Coffee may modify these Terms or modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services at any time for any reason. However, Monate Coffee will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes to these Terms by posting a notice on the Site.

2. Purchase of Products

A. General Conditions
Online services include the purchase of Products as per website. This Section 2(A) sets out terms and conditions that apply to your purchase.

ORDERS – Orders are to be placed online as per site directive.

Customers are also able to process purchases through email request. Upon requesting an order, a Monate Coffee sales rep will process a quotation for acceptance. Upon acceptance an invoice will be generated. Order will only be processed once proof of payment has been received.

LIMITS – You acknowledge and agree that we may place limits on purchase of Products, including but not limited to restricting orders placed under a single payment card or billing or shipping address. We reserve the right to limit, cancel or prohibit purchases for any reason, including but not limited to availability concerns.

DELIVERY – All deliveries will be processed as per order processed and payment received.

Delivery will be made between the hours of 9:00 – 17:00 as per address stipulated. The delivery address can’t be changed once the order has been placed, as the information has already been sent to the production house for processing.

Delivery will be made between 2-5 working days. Orders placed over weekends or public holidays will only be processed on the following working day. Deliveries will not be made over a weekend or public holiday.

If delivery has not been received within 5 days, please contact Monate Coffee at info@monatecoffee.com.

COLLECTIONS – Your order may be collected after 48hrs (2 days) of placement at the following address:

Please ensure that you have selected this option upon check out.

Collection can be made between the hours of 9:30 – 17:00.

B. Payments & Policies
CANCELLATION POLICY – Orders cannot be cancelled once placed and paid for.

MEANS OF PAYMENT – You may pay via EFT or Payfast options provided.
EFTs are to be made within 48 hours of processing your request online or receiving invoice. If you have not paid within 48 hours of your order and receipt of invoice, it will be cancelled. Please email your proof of payment. Your order will be processed upon receipt of proof.

MODIFICATION POLICY – If paying by EFT, modifications may be made prior to payment being made. If paying via Payfast option, modifications will only be accepted if received prior to order leaving Monate facilities. Please ensure that an email or phone request is made and confirmed in order for modification to be successfully processed.

DAMAGED/INCORRECT PRODUCTS – In a situation that you find that your product is damaged/not operational or not as per order upon receipt, please immediately alert us via email or phone. If the product is in your possession for more than 48 hours and you have not alerted us you will have to assume the cost and will not be able to lodge a return.

Monate Coffee will schedule for a return and exchange of the product at no cost to the end user. If customer is not looking for an exchange, Monate Coffee will process a refund within 7 days in the form of a store credit voucher.

Damage will be assessed prior to refund/exchange being processed.


  1. General returns – if there is no issue to product as per above, Monate Coffee will not process a return.
  2. General Exchanges – if there is no issue to product as per above, but customer would still like to make a modification, Monate will be able to process an exchange. Customer will be liable for the cost of the return and will be billed a fixed rate of R60 for dispatch of new order. Customers will be billed the difference of the exchange if higher than original order. If exchange is of a lower value, customers will be given the difference in credit for their next order. This will be in the form of a coupon code which can be used upon checkout.
    Exchanges will be processed based on availability of new order.
    Exchanges must be requested within 48 hours.

Use of Services
CONTENT PROVIDED “AS IS” – All content and information available through the site, including but not limited to product descriptions and specifications and product photos is to be used for general information purposes only. Such information is provided on a blind-basis, without any knowledge as to your identity or specific circumstances.

Your Content
If you post, upload or make available to Monate Coffee or the Services, or otherwise submit to or through Monate Coffee as part of your use of the Services, including the Site, any information, data, text, images, files, links, software, chat, communication or other materials, including but not limited to photos and reviews relating to your use of the Products (“Your Content”), you hereby grant to Monate Coffee a perpetual, non-exclusive, irrevocable, fully-paid, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable (in whole or part) worldwide license to use, reproduce, transmit, display, exhibit, distribute, index, comment on, modify, create derivative works based upon, perform and otherwise exploit Your Content and your name, image, voice, likeness and/or other biographical information or material in connection with Your Content, in whole or in part, in all media formats and distribution methods now known or hereafter devised (including on the Site, in email and other promotional campaigns and on third party sites promoting the Services) in connection with the Services, including but not limited to advertising, promoting, and marketing the Services, all without further notice to you, with or without attribution, without limitation as to frequency, and without the requirement of any permission from or payment to you or to any other person or entity.
